CRP worked closely with Gallo Family Vineyards to launch a limited edition handbag style wine box. The Grenache rosé wine pack has won a prestigious bronze Starpack award and also won the “best packaging design category within wine 2008”. The product, which was listed in Tesco stores nationwide, was described by those in the know as “incredibly successful” commercially
Not only is the “clutch bag” packaging an ideal gift to give to party hosts, but it also holds the equivalent of two bottles of wine and can be easily stored in the fridge. The clever design also allows the user to carry and dispensing of wine with one hand. The pack is tamper proof, produced from a single piece of corrugated and is 3 point glued on a high speed line. In addition, there is a series of complex folds that make assembly for the wine filler very easy.
This revolutionary design has assisted in a shift in consumers’ perception of buying boxed wine, and succeeded in making wine packaging more feminine and desirable compared to others currently available.
