Corsodyl, the number one dentist-recommended toothpaste brand for gum problems†, is expanding its toothpaste portfolio with the launch of Corsodyl Advanced+ Intensive Gum Repair. The new range includes Corsodyl Intensive Gum Repair White & Polish and Corsodyl Intensive Gum Repair Intense Clean, toothpastes designed to stop recurring bleeding gums* whilst supporting overall gum health and strong teeth.
Building on the clinically backed gum-care technology designed to improve gum health, the Intensive Gum Repair range is clinically proven to offer 2x greater repair of bleeding gums* and help stop recurring bleeding gums*. By removing plaque bacteria for a professional clean feel, it supports people in caring for their gum health without sacrificing freshness.
With over half of the UK population experiencing gum problems[1] and many actively monitoring their gums, either through reactive treatment or ongoing management, there is a clear need for a more advanced oral care range that goes beyond existing solutions to help address the root cause of recurring gum problems more effectively.
The superior formulation used in the toothpastes includes 67% Sodium Bicarbonate and works at a microscopic level to help control tartar and remove even stubborn plaque alongside Microclean Technology, supported by Alumina for enhanced cleaning power**. The dual action White & Polish variant comes with additional silica which provides a gentle polishing action for whiter teeth*, that is still gentle on enamel**.
Michael Durkin, GB Sales Director, Haleon, said: “In the UK, there is a 60% rise in demand for specialised toothpaste formulations targeting gum health as more shoppers are actively seeking effective treatment options as part of their everyday routine[2]. As the number one dentist-recommended toothpaste brand for gum problems†, it’s important that we continue to evolve our range with trusted, clinically proven products that meet these changing needs.
The new Corsodyl Advanced+ Intensive Gum Repair range offers retailers a premium, differentiated addition to the gum care category, designed to encourage trade-up while delivering results that shoppers are looking for.”
The launch also comes with a new and refreshed packaging design. As the first Corsodyl toothpaste with a vertical pack, carton with a window and high-level silver finishes, it will aim to encourage shoppers to up-trade for a premium product.
The Intensive Gum Repair toothpaste range comes in a recyclable tube, cap, and a carton at RRP £7.50. Corsodyl Intensive Gum Repair White & Polish is now available in Boots, Tesco and Waitrose, with wider distribution across major retailers following in the coming months. Corsodyl Intensive Gum Repair Intense Clean will begin its rollout in March starting in Superdrug before expanding to Asda, Morrisons and Tesco. By the end of the year, both variants will be available across most major retailers.
