Bodega Norton, Argentina’s oldest winery in Luján de Cuyo, is celebrating its 130th anniversary with the launch of Norton 130 Años, an ultra-limited-edition Malbec.
With only 2,000 magnums released globally, sourced from a single, historic vineyard, this rare collector’s item underlines the patience, craftsmanship, and passion behind one of Argentina’s most iconic and enduring wine brands.
Crafted from a selective harvest of Parcel No. 3 at Finca Agrelo, a terroir renowned for its exceptional Malbec expression, this unique Malbec presents with a smooth texture, deep colour, and vibrant fresh red fruit aromas balanced with elegant complexity.
The grapes were hand-harvested and the wine aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels to preserve its character, before being bottled unfiltered and unfined, ensuring authenticity and exceptional ageing potential.
David Bonomi, Winemaker, Norton says: “If wine has taught us anything, it’s the value of time and perseverance. This year is particularly meaningful for Norton, and I am proud to mark it with Norton 130 Años, a Malbec that reflects both our philosophy and the quality we strive for.”
Tomás Lange, CEO, Norton adds; “At Norton, we believe true greatness is built over time. Our 130th anniversary is a powerful embodiment of this legacy. This anniversary Magnum, sourced from a single historic vineyard, reflects both our pioneering past and our aspirations for the future. It is a rare, timeless expression of Malbec that we are proud to share with the world’s most discerning wine lovers.”
The anniversary launch is inspired by the idea that “dreams take time”, a testament to the care and vision behind both Norton’s wines and its enduring legacy.
