Applications are open now for store and warehouse roles across the UK, with industry-recognised qualifications, paid breaks for all store colleagues and competitive pay from day one

Aldi, the UK’s fourth largest supermarket, is opening applications for 500 apprenticeship roles, with opportunities available in stores and warehouses across the UK.

Apprentices start earning from day one as they work towards industry-recognised qualifications. Store Apprentices begin with a wage of £12.02 per hour, rising to £13.35 – while those working within the M25 start at £13.22 per hour. Meanwhile, Colleagues in warehouse roles can earn up to £12.63 per hour.

Aldi also remains the only supermarket to offer paid breaks to all store colleagues – a benefit typically worth around £1,470 a year.

Lisa Murphy, Training and Development Director at Aldi UK, said: “We’ve built a strong track record of helping people launch their careers through our apprenticeship programme, and we’re excited to welcome the next cohort to Team Aldi.

“This is a genuine opportunity to learn on the job, build valuable skills and earn market-leading pay – all while working for one of the UK’s biggest grocery retailers.

“We want to hear from people of all backgrounds, so, if you’re interested, we’d really encourage you to apply, whatever your experience.”

The recruitment drive follows Aldi’s continued investment in colleague pay and benefits, with store colleagues recently receiving a wage increase as part of a £36m investment.

Successful applicants will also receive a range of Aldi benefits, including shopping discounts, a bike to work scheme, 28 days’ paid holiday (including bank holidays), and access to a mortgage advice option with free guidance and education.
