Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I is bringing back Ribena Winter Spice, a much-anticipated seasonal favourite, from September to January. Blending Ribena’s iconic blackcurrant flavour with festive spices, the squash offers shoppers a warming seasonal twist on a much-loved classic.

Ribena Winter Spice offers more than just a great taste; delivering 100% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C in every 250ml serving, it is uniquely positioned to deliver both satisfaction and “better for you” benefits, as Vitamin C supports normal immune function[1]. Moreover, UK adults are drinking alcohol less frequently than in previous years, with 84% citing health concerns as a key driver of moderation[2]. As shoppers look to broaden their repertoire of drinks for seasonal occasions, Ribena Winter Spice offers a delicious alcohol-free option that can be enjoyed during special holiday moments.

For retailers, the return of Winter Spice presents an incremental sales opportunity.  Best served warm for a comforting seasonal treat, the drink creates excitement in the squash fixture particularly throughout the under-indexing cooler months[3]. Tapping into consumers’ appetite for special, limited-time products, Ribena Winter Spice is the perfect drink for bringing families together during the winter season.

Ribena’s strong year-round performance provides a solid foundation for seasonal innovation. Ribena Winter Spice delivers incremental value to both the brand and the category[4] by driving additional sales and bringing in new shoppers, making it a valuable addition to retailers’ winter fixtures.

Sarah Fleetwood, Head of Marketing for Ribena, comments: “Ribena Winter Spice is back once again and brings a seasonal twist to the Ribena blackcurrant taste shoppers already know and love. More importantly for retailers, it has a proven track record of delivering incremental sales to the squash category and bringing festive cheer to the aisle.”
