Aldi has invested a further £100 million to cut the price of 330 products, helping to support families through the school holidays.

Shoppers at Britain’s biggest discounter can now enjoy even lower prices across everyday essentials, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials and personal care products.

These latest cuts mean that Aldi has reduced the price of over 1,000 products so far this year, representing a total investment of £300m in keeping grocery bills as low as possible.

Shoppers can now save 80p on selected British steaks, including its 21-Day Matured Sirloin Steak (now £4.49) and 21-Day Matured Ribeye Steak (now £4.59).

Savings have also been applied across fruit and vegetables, including 40p off Aldi’s 4-pack Nectarines and 22p off Honeydew Melons.

Aldi’s Specially Selected range of Cheddar cheeses (350g) are now £2.99, saving shoppers 40p.

Shoppers can also save 30p on everyday favourites such as Diced Chicken Breast (600g, now £3.99) and Filled Pasta (now £2.19).

Aldi’s Lacura SPF50+ Sensitive Lotion is also now £2.99, reduced from £3.29.

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable. We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”

Aldi has been named Which? Cheapest Supermarket for five years running and for eight consecutive months, even when competitors’ loyalty prices are included.

Aldi was also recently named ‘Best Value Brand of the Year’ by Which?, recognising its outstanding value and high-quality products.

As part of Aldi’s wider commitment to supporting families, the supermarket recently announced the return of its Summer Support Scheme, giving away £50 shops to families every day throughout July and August.
