Aldi has more than 450 Store Assistant vacancies currently available across its UK stores, offering people looking for an entry-level role the opportunity to join the UK’s highest-paying supermarket.
The vacancies come as Aldi continues to expand across the UK, with plans to open around 40 new stores during 2026 as part of its £370 million investment programme.
Successful applicants will receive market-leading pay, with Store Assistants earning £13.50 per hour nationally and £14.88 within the M25, regardless of age, rising to £14.47 and £15.20 respectively based on length of service.
No formal qualifications are required to apply for the vacancies, with Aldi looking for friendly, positive candidates who are comfortable with numbers.
Aldi also remains the only major supermarket to offer paid breaks to all colleagues – a benefit worth approximately £1,500 per year to the average store colleague.
Kelly Stokes, Recruitment Director at Aldi UK, said: “Whether you’re looking for your first role in retail or a fresh start, Aldi offers market-leading pay, excellent training and real opportunities to build your career.
“From day one, our colleagues are supported with the training and experience they need to succeed, with clear opportunities to progress as their careers develop.
“Our colleagues are what make Aldi such a great place to shop, so we’re always looking for friendly, hardworking people to join our growing teams.”
