To celebrate Armed Forces Day, thousands of serving personnel and veterans will be able to get a free hot breakfast at The Café in 335 Tesco stores across the UK.

As a thank you for their service, on Sunday June 28, all serving Armed Forces personnel, around 159,000 regulars and 32,000 reservists, can present their MOD90 identification card at The Café at Tesco and get The Breakfast, The Veggie Breakfast, The Vegan Breakfast, Sausage Bap, Egg Bap, Veggie Bap or the Bacon Bap for free.*

And for the second year, thousands of veterans around the UK can also benefit when they present a valid Veteran’s ID card. Since 2022, Tesco has given away over 7,800 free breakfasts to recognise those who serve and have served.

Tesco has a long association with the Armed Forces and we are proud to be the leading private sector employer of veterans in the UK, which we support through our thriving Armed Forces network.

“This Armed Forces Day, we are recognising those who serve and have served. Everyone loves a free breakfast and it’s a nice way of thanking them for their service.

Ashwin Prasad, Tesco UK CEO and Exec Sponsor of the Armed Forces Network

We take great pride in our connection with the Armed Forces and offering this small token of appreciation on Armed Forces Day, is just one way that we’re helping and recognising serving personnel and veterans.

“In 2025, we reconfirmed our commitment to the Armed Forces Community through re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant and launching our three-year partnership with Help for Heroes, to support not our only veterans at Tesco but the wider community.

Sabrina Lungo, Chair of the Armed Forces Network at Tesco
