Nothing goes better with football than a pie and pint, and premium pie maker Higgidy is celebrating a summer of football with a one-day Higgidy Pre-Match Pie & Pint Pop Up in Shoreditch on Wednesday 17th June. The Pop-Up Shop will ensure football fans can enjoy a hot, tasty Higgidy pie for just £2 or a pie and pint of Guinness for £5 before they go on to watch that night’s match.
Building on the success of two Higgidy Pop Up Pie Shops in central London and the brand’s first pub takeover, The Higgidy Arms, the Higgidy Pre-Match Football Pie Pop Up will see the brand take over the Build Hollywood Special Build advertising and event site at 1 Quaker Street. The takeover will see Higgidy take a 48 sheet OOH site for 2 weeks with partner Guinness, before fully branding the space for the activation, including an additional 48 sheet above the space, a 7 in a row and two 4 sheets, leaving passersby in no doubt that they have come to the right place for a hot pie and a pint of Guinness! The activation will be supported through PR, social media and local business promotion.
With a range of mouthwatering pies, each packed with top quality ingredients and delivering a burst of irresistible flavour to choose from, there is a Higgidy pie to suit every football fan’s tastes. The range includes the ultimate pie and pint combination, the Higgidy Slow-Cooked Steak & Guinness pie, the perfect preparation for match nights. The Higgidy Slow-Cooked Steak & Guinness Pie features Red Tractor assured British beef in a Guinness, onion and herb gravy, baked in all-butter short crust pastry, topped with an all-butter puff pastry lid and a sprinkle of rosemary.
The Higgidy Pre-Match Pie Pop Up will be serving hot pies to enjoy immediately and cold pies to take away from midday for just £2 each, and from 3pm a courtyard bar will be open too, serving a Higgidy Pie and pint of Guinness for just £5. The Pre-March Pie Pop Up will close at 8pm, giving fans plenty of time to make their way to wherever they plan to watch the big match.
