Asda is raising the bar for lunch on-the-go with the launch of its brand-new Premium Meal Deal, offering customers a luxury lunch experience for just £5.
Landing in stores nationwide from Monday 18th May, including Asda Express stores, the new range features 17 indulgent mains inspired by trending flavours and deli-quality recipes, all available as part of a meal deal including a main, snack and drink.
At a time when shoppers are continuing to look for value without compromising on quality, Asda’s new premium proposition undercuts rival premium supermarket meal deals, with comparable offers costing up to £6 elsewhere.

Following its successful launch in 2025, Asda’s classic meal deal remains available from just £3.74, meaning customers can upgrade to the new Exceptional range for only £1.26 more.
Designed to deliver maximum flavour, the new line-up combines artisan deli-inspired recipes with generous portions and standout ingredients, serving up everything from deli-style focaccia sandwiches and trending Mexican-inspired wraps, to hand-finished sushi rolls.
Highlights include the Exceptional Prosciutto Cotto and Milano Salami Focaccia, layered with Italian deli meats on soft rosemary and sea salt focaccia with rich pesto mayo, and the bold new Exceptional Beef Birria Wrap, packed with smoky British beef, crunchy fresh veg and served with an authentic birria dipping gravy.
Customers can also enjoy the Exceptional Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich, filled with British breaded chicken and classic Italian-inspired flavours, alongside the Exceptional Prawn Cocktail Sandwich, made with juicy king prawns for a premium twist on a lunchtime favourite.
The new range also introduces two premium salads, including the Exceptional Pesto & Mozzarella Pasta Salad with giant spiralli pasta and fire-roasted piquillo peppers, alongside the Exceptional Chicken Caesar Shake-A-Salad.
Developed to rival the quality of premium high street food retailers, the Chicken Caesar Shake-A-Salad offers exceptional value for money, with comparable salads elsewhere retailing for £5.75 for the salad alone. At Asda, shoppers can enjoy the salad, plus a snack and drink, all as part of the £5 Premium Meal Deal.
Rounding off the range are two new hand-finished sushi Dragon Rolls – Chicken Katsu, topped with katsu mayonnaise, chives and crispy onions, and Spicy Prawn, finished with kimchi mayonnaise and sliced red chillies.
