Hofmeister Brewing Company, the award-winning independent lager brand, today confirms it has successfully completed its transition to a fully independent supply chain, appointing Kingfisher Drinks as its national logistics partner.

This strategic move follows the filing of a Notice of Intention to Appoint Administrators (NOI) by former distributor Keystone Brewing Group and ensures that Hofmeister retains full control over its route to market while capitalising on the explosive growth of the World Lager category.

Outperforming the Market

Trading data confirms that Hofmeister has significantly outperformed the sector, with sales volume up over 30% year-on-year in Q4.

This commercial success is driven by a unique positioning in the market: Hofmeister is filling the gap for an authentic, independent German Helles at a time when consumers are trading up to premium imports.

Tim Bird, Co-Founder of the award-winning Cheshire Cat Pub Group, said:

“The single most important thing for us when choosing a beer is its quality, and Hofmeister have surpassed themselves. We have seen remarkable growth year on year with sales 30.8% up like-for-like over the past year.”

Infrastructure Upgrade

With the brands popularity accelerating among the core 25-44 demographic, the Board has acted decisively to secure a logistics infrastructure capable of handling this increased volume.

The new partnership with Kingfisher Drinks ensures that Hofmeisters 50L, 30L, and bottled formats are available across the UK immediately, guaranteeing supply security for the trade throughout 2026.

Spencer Chambers, CEO of Hofmeister, said:

“We have seen an incredible start to 2026. We are trading 30% up year-on-year, and our consumer engagement has exploded by over 1500%, driven by the launch of our new ‘Hoffice’ social campaign bringing George the Bear back to screens.

The market data is clear: beer drinkers are moving away from mass-produced ‘fake’ world lagers and demanding the real thing. As an independent, authentic Helles brewed in Bavaria, we are perfectly placed to lead that charge.

We refused to let our momentum be stalled by the challenges of a third-party distributor. We are back in the driving seat as a fully independent business, and we have selected Kingfisher Drinks to provide the scale and operational excellence needed to ensure every pint arrives fresh and on time.”

Shaun Goode, COO of Kingfisher Drinks, said:

“We are delighted to support Hofmeister. It is one of the most exciting premium lagers in the market, and we are proud to provide the robust logistics infrastructure they need to maintain their impressive growth trajectory.”
