Mango Vodka is taking over! British-Indian vodka brand, Desi Daru, are delighted to announce their first grocery listing as they launch nationwide into 140 Waitrose stores. From November 9th, their much-loved Alphonso Mango Vodka will be available in stores up and down the country.
Founded in May 2023, by British-born Indians, husband-and-wife team Mohit Singh and Aneet Kaur, Desi Daru was born from a desire to create a unique product that represented their two worlds. Made in Oxfordshire using the finest English winter wheat, Desi Daru’s vodkas are distilled seven times for unbelievable smoothness. Their multi-award winning Desi Daru Mango is a rich and juicy flavoured vodka made with Alphonso mangoes from Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, known as the “King of Mangoes” and prized for their distinctive sweetness.
In a short period of time, Desi Daru has become the highest rated vodka in the world, achieving top accolades within the global spirits industry including winning ‘World’s Best Flavoured Vodka’ at World Drink Awards, ‘Best Flavored Vodka’ at the Las Vegas Global Spirit Awards. It was awarded the top 3-Star Great Taste Award, the highest possible accolade, achieved by less than 2% of entries, and scored an extraordinary 99 points at The IWSC.

The launch follows a year of major achievements for Desi Daru, including its B Corp certification, record-breaking sales growth, viral success on social media, and the launch of their ‘One Sip, One Day, initiative where every 25ml measure of Desi Daru Vodka provides clean drinking water for one person for an entire day. A whole bottle will provide them with water for a whole month.
Waitrose customers will now be able to purchase Desi Daru Alphonso Mango Vodka in 140 stores across the UK, retailing at £39.50, with a special launch offer of £33 available until 1st January 2026.
