Carlsberg Britvic is set to capitalise on the seasonal opportunity within the soft drinks category with the launch of a limited-edition Pepsi Gingerbread. Available exclusively in Tesco now, Pepsi Gingerbread joins the brand’s indulgent zero sugar cola range, currently featuring Pepsi Strawberries ‘N’ Cream and Cream Soda. The launch aims to boost festive sales through combining the great taste of Pepsi with the familiar ginger, cinnamon and vanilla flavours and aromas that are synonymous with Christmas.
Rich flavours are growing in popularity, with indulgent options like drinkable desserts increasing in demand[1]. Embracing this trend, Pepsi Gingerbread offers a delicious flavour, designed to excite shoppers through incorporating a Christmas classic. As soft drinks continue to be viewed as an affordable treat[2], this limited-edition launch taps into consumer nostalgia and seasonal purchases with a bold new flavour. Further driven by shopper demand for limited-edition flavours, the seasonal launch – with its striking festive packaging – will standout on shelves and encourage more people to try Pepsi.
Pepsi Gingerbread will be available until 31 December. The limited-edition cola will roll out in a variety of formats*, including: 500ml (RRP: £2.15), 600ml (RRP: £2.25), 2L (RRP: £3.75) and eight can multipack (RRP: £6.89). The innovation is set to cater to a wide range of shopper soft drink occasions during the seasonal period, from big nights in to on-the-go outings, festive celebrations and more. The launch will be supported by in-store activation and sampling, alongside social media activity and location specific advertising.
