Current Chief Marketing Officer UK&I moves to Global Vice President of Business Development for pladis 

pladis, one of the world’s leading snacking companies and home to brands including McVitie’s and Jacob’s, has announced that Aslı Özen Turhan will be stepping into the role of Chief Marketing Officer UK&I, following Caroline Hipperson’s appointment as Vice President (VP) of Business Development for the global organisation.

Caroline Hipperson, current Chief Marketing Officer UK&I, will be joining the pladis global team as VP Business Development, reporting directly into CEO Salman Amin, helping the company drive new portfolio opportunities globally. Caroline joined pladis in April 2020 and successfully led the marketing agenda during the Covid-19 pandemic. She also orchestrated a number of exciting new partnerships including McVitie’s role as lead sponsor of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Aslı Özen Turhan will step into the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) UK&I from 21 February 2022. Formerly CMO for pladis’ Turkey region, Asli has extensive experience in various snacking categories at driving sustained growth through innovation and brand building. Over the last 18 years she has played a pivotal role working for pladis Masterbrand, Ülker, where she transformed the company’s marketing organisation and agenda. Asli also helped the Ülker team secure a number of prestigious global and domestic awards, including Effie, Nielsen Breakthrough Innovations and Lovemark. She has been recognised as one of the top CMOs in Turkey by Fortune Magazine.
