This year Garofalo Pasta is a main sponsor of the event and is capitalising on its innovative marketing in the Italian home market where is it enjoying increasing recognition as the premium pasta brand.

A relative newcomer to the UK pasta market, Garofalo is enjoying strong growth in  sales via Ocado thanks to an increasingly loyal following as more consumers recognise its superior quality.

As part of its drive to grow awareness and sales in the UK, Garofalo has invited the UK’s top food blogger, Julia Parsons, whose blog, A Slice of Cherry Pie, has achieved worldwide recognition and is the first in the UK to go from blog to book, to join them at the Salone event. Julia will be cooking a pasta recipe from her first cookery book, in front of an invited audience at the Garofalo pavilion, and will be amongst a handful of the world’s top food bloggers taking part in the first bloggers cookery event to be held by the company.

Mal Pullan, managing director of Garofalo in the UK believes that working with social media and developing relationships with key bloggers is already paying dividends for his brand: “Our colleagues in Italy have been working with their blogging community  for some time now as well as developing their facebook presence, and have seen real success growing out of regular and meaningful conversations with their customers.
