chocolate-trendys-add-a-darker-dimension-to-dessertsFollowing the success of Pidy’s Art Deco-style Trendy pastry shells which were introduced to the UK market earlier this year, today the company announces the launch of new Chocolate Trendy Shells.

The fashionable triangular, square and circular shells have been crafted for customers who sometimes prefer the darker side of desserts. They come in packs containing 12 portions of each shape – 36 portions to each Cash & Carry case.

Chocolate joins the original Sweet Dough, and Neutral Dough versions – the latter can be used for savoury and sweet applications or small snacks. All three are made from all-butter shortening and are ideal for patissiers, bakers and chefs who may be strapped for time but who want something really up-market and different to serve their customers.

‘Chocolate brings yet another dimension to the repertoire of the chef with vision and flair,’ says Pidy’s UK general manager Robert Whittle.
