Market-leading Kepak Convenience Foods is backing its hot snacking brand, ZUGO’s Deli Café, with a national TV advertising campaign. The £1.5 million campaign breaks in early May and is set to generate highest ever levels of consumer awareness.
John Armstrong, Kepak Convenience Foods’ Marketing Director, says the TV support will ‘accelerate demand and introduce new consumers’ to the £10 million ZUGO’s Deli Café brand.
“ZUGO’s Deli Café is already one of the success stories in the UK’s hot snacking market. Not only has the brand broadened the appeal of the hot snacking category, it has also established a strong and loyal consumer base.
“The national TV campaign will connect with consumers looking for deli inspired hot snacking products featuring tasty ingredients that are ready to eat in minutes.”
The TV campaign will run across both terrestrial and satellite channels including ITV, Channels 4 and 5 and Sky Living, reaching an estimated nine million consumers.
The commercial starts by showing a ZUGO’s panini on the counter in a busy deli café. The panini is placed in the deli’s serving hatch and emerges out of a microwave in an office kitchen. The end strapline ‘Deli panini in a ding’ highlights the convenience of the product.
The ZUGO’s Deli Café range currently comprises three products – Chargrilled Chicken, Mozzarella and Pesto, Bacon, Cheese and Mustard Mayonnaise and Mediterranean Chicken on a Tomato and Herb Bread.
NPD will also feature prominently this year, with a major new product launch to be announced shortly.
Meanwhile, Kepak is urging retailers to stock up on ZUGO’s Deli Café to meet what it confidently predicts will be unprecedented levels of consumer demand.
