At a glittering ceremony, held recently at the Hinckley Island Hotel, Leicester, the company’s UK general manager Robert Whittle was handed a coveted Food Processing Award in the magazine’s Product of the Year category 2011.
This category was one of the most fiercely contended with five finalists going forward, according to the organiser. Selected on the basis of votes counted, the on-line process involved contenders submitting their product details which were then posted on a Food Processing site where readers were given several weeks to vote for those they felt were most worthy.
The scheme was set up 25 years ago by Tonbridge based publisher Industrial Media Ltd to recognise innovation in the food industry.
