Lactalis McLelland takes Nantwich International Cheese Show by storm

Lactalis McLelland, one of Europe's largest dairy companies, is celebrating success by taking home no less than 11 top medals from this year's prestigious Nantwich Cheese Show. The acclaimed Cheese Lovers' Trophy award, sponsored by supermarket chain ASDA, was awarded to Seriously® Strong cheddar, which again proves the appeal of this delicious product. Overall, Lactalis McLelland took home three gold awards (the key ones being Galbani Santa Lucia® Mozzarella and Galbani Dolcelatte®) five silver, five bronze awards and four very highly commended awards. Also, Lactalis McLelland Out of Home celebrated further success with three outstanding medal wins. Taking top honours with a hat-trick of gold medals were the following products: Whey Butter from the Caledonian Cheese Company, Galbani Santa Lucia® Mozzarella (1kg) and Italy's premier blue cheese Galbani Dolcelatte®. The event this year saw an all time record of some 154 classes which covered everything from the traditional farmhouse cheese, to continental and snacking product categories.
