Flahavan's fuel up the chefs
Eight of London's top chefs swapped their kitchen whites for running vests for The Great North Run in September in aid of The Emily Begg Fund for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
The team including Paul Gayler (Executive Chef of the Lanesborough) raised an impressive £25,000 for their chosen charity. Prior to the run, the chefs adopted a strict training and healthy eating regime. They had the best start to each training day with a supply of Flahavan's Irish Organic Porridge Oats. The delicious, nutritious, energy packed organic oats fuelled up the team and provided them with plenty of energy to last the lengthy run.
Said Paul Gayler: "Since eating porridge regularly I have really noticed a boost in my energy levels. Not only did we complete the run but as it fills you up I also lost two stone!'
The group's fundraising continues as they (Cooks for the Cure) aim to raise £250,000.
