1st May 2006 is the trade launch date for a whole new family of Wham chew bars from Millar McCowan. Wham remains the UKÕs fastest-selling chew bar since it originally appeared in 1982 and its brand new packaging focuses on the Wham name across the whole family of 6 flavours:
Fruit theme - Wham Original Raspberry and Wham Strawberry.
Drinks theme - Wham Brew and Wham Cola.
Sours theme - Wham Apple and Wham Cherry.
These flavours have been created with new technology and new ingredients that produce fabulous "sweetie dynamics" to make them popular with kids (stretchy, tingly, flavoursome, colourful.) Formats now include the new 20g singles packed in shelf-ready cases of 60 (RRP 10p), Wham Mega at 36g (RRP 20p), 4.5g Wham Minis in 30 (RRP 89p) or 50 (RRP £1.29p) party pack formats and in 300 unit tubs for sale as pick-&-mix (RRP 2p each).
The first new flavour, Wham Brew, has already been tested out with some trade contacts and consumers and has received overwhelmingly positive response with customers placing 3 times their normal order quantity. Millar McCowanÕs recent appearance at GermanyÕs ISM show (EuropeÕs biggest confectionery trade event) also produced fabulous responses from buyers to the companyÕs new products in development.
1 May is also the launch date for the brand new range of Millar McCowan Bonbons made with their unique real toffee centre. Meanwhile the companyÕs programme of reformulation and repackaging continues on its mints range including Pan Drops and on its Highland Toffee range. Both of these will be ready for launch later this year.
