New Covent Garden offers a white Christmas for all
Market leading fresh soup manufacturer, New Covent Garden Food Co. is offering a white Christmas for all with the launch of 'White Christmas' as its 'Soup of the Month' for the festive season.
The limited edition, White Christmas soup is made from traditional ingredients, white onion, Stilton cheese and white port. It is available from December 3rd in 600g cartons. The RRP is £1.99.
The packaging is Christmas themed with a winter warming description, "Full bodied, creamy Stilton cheese melted into white onions and festive white Port. Smooth and velvety, with flecks of parsley and thyme providing a touch of Christmas green."
And as with all New Covent Garden Food Co. packaging, it features the Food Standards Agency traffic light labelling.
Nick Munby, Senior Brand Manager at New Covent Garden, said: "The festive seasonal variant is an innovative way for retailers to drive sales during the Christmas period."
Like all New Covent Garden Food Co.'s products, 'White Christmas' soup is made using only fresh natural ingredients and contains no artificial additives, flavourings or gloopy modified starches.
The value of the UK's chilled soup market now stands at £103 million, with market-leading New Covent Garden soups outperforming all other brands, up 13 per cent in value on last year (Source: IRI Audit data 52 w/e Sept 8th '07).
Backed by consistently high profile national press advertising, sponsorship and promotional support, consumer awareness of New Covent Garden soups is at an all-time high.
