Award winning Reece's of Malpas in Cheshire produces hand-made, fresh, traditional and Creamery crumbly cheeses for the retail, wholesale and independent trade.
Founded in 1886, its cheeses are made by experienced cheese makers using traditional methods and family values. The creamery produces finest quality Cheshire, Caerphilly, Lancashire, Wensleydale and other British Territorial cheeses such as Derby.
For sale at Marks and Spencer, J Sainsbury, Iceland and Tesco as well as many smaller independent retailers on the quality of Reece's cheeses just gets better and better and has been celebrated this year by some fantastic wins!
The Wensleydale prize at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate has traditionally been won by local Yorkshire cheese companies. This summer however, following their success in winning first second and third prizes at the Cheshire show, Reece's of Malpas were delighted to win the prize in a competition they have taken part in for several years. The level of competition was such that this year is only the second occasion an outside cheese maker has won.
Richard Newell, General Manager at Reece's Creamery was presented with his prize by Sir Ken Morrison of Morrison's supermarkets. He commented: "This is great news for us, because this year Reece's cheese is the best it has ever been. It is extremely gratifying that the level of quality we have reached has been recognised."
