CeWe Color launches UK white label photo service for ecommerce sites and photo kiosks for retailers

CeWe Color, Europe's largest photo finisher, is launching two major services for retailers in the UK: a comprehensive white label photo service to online retailers; and a complete photofinishing service for retailers.

The services, part of CeWe Color's 'My Photo World' offering that has just launched in the UK, let retailers make revenue from photos and gifts, with minimum financial and brand reputation risk.

White label service for online retailers
Online retailers can offer their customers the chance to turn their digital photos into professional-quality photo books - one of the fastest growing areas in the photo market today, mugs, T-shirts and calendars, via the retailer's website.

There are two options open to the retailer: a bespoke design to integrate completely with the customer's site (see www.fastlab.co.uk for an example); or a template micro site that includes the customer's branding (see http://fotoinsight.co.uk/).
All sites are hosted by CeWe Color and generate income from photos and gifts, with no charge for the retailer.
Micro sites can be operational within 30 days, with CeWe Color responsible for online customer relationship management (CRM.)

Complete photofinishing service for retailers
CeWe Color provides the entire infrastructure required for retailers to provide a high-quality photofinishing service to their customers, while increasing their customers' average spend per visit and generating footfall. Retail partners include high street multiples, pharmacies, convenience stories and independent retailers.

CeWe Color provides the retailer with a kiosk - DigiFoto Maker - free of charge, that lets consumers order instant prints, or high quality lab prints and personalised gifts that are either returned to the store the next working day or sent to their home address. The DigiFoto maker accepts all media cards and CDs, as well as Bluetooth, to send online images to CeWe Color's UK photofinishing laboratory (one of the most advanced in the country). Remote access software means that the kiosk automatically downloads software updates, price and promotion updates and online maintenance by CeWe Color. The kiosk measures just half a square metre, providing high margin returns for the retailer.

Retailers receive full support, including marketing, point of sale material, promotional campaigns, customer care and full logistical support.

National Sales Manager Bryan Gale comments: "CeWe offers the only fully integrated system available in the UK. We give real support to the retailer, provide great margins and offer products with a broad and compelling consumer appeal."

CeWe Color in the UK
CeWe Color already has a great track record in the UK; it provides photo services to some of the biggest high street names, such as Boots, Jessops, Asda and Tesco, as well as Internet companies such as AOL, Yahoo! and Amazon in Europe. The company processes 3.4 billion colour prints each year.

Photobooks
Andrew White, CeWe Color's Internet Sales Manager in the UK, estimates that the market for photo books is growing at 50 per cent each year, and so makes an attractive proposition for online retailers: "Offering online photo services is a great way of getting people to come back to your site, as well as to make additional revenue from the service. The market is already huge in Europe, particularly for photo books, and we see the same potential in the UK, with a number of big name companies talking to us at the moment."
