Stockelys Sweets, an established manufacturer of own-label confectionery have used a recent investment in the business as an opportunity to launch a new look for their Sugar Lessss brand of sugar-free sweets.
Needing new artwork and packaging for the entire range of bagged sweets proved a challenge as they headed towards their critical launch date.
Stockleys turned to incumbent packaging specialists National Flexible, who have serviced their packaging needs for several years and already had a good understanding of the packing lines and processes involved at the factory.
“We’ve built a strong working relationship with National Flexible,” said Rob Whittleston, Stockley’s Operations Manager. “Thanks to them, the new packaging looks fantastic. We made full use of their in-house graphic design studio to generate the artwork and layouts for the new packs. They made the whole process much easier for us,” he continued.
The artwork was reproduced by National Flexible using one of the latest state-of-the-art flexographic printing presses. The whole process is managed for Stockleys by National Flexible’s unique stock system which tracks how much of the packaging film for each flavour is used and automatically flags when reprints are needed – eliminating the possibility of any shortages at the factory and making sure that the nation’s many sweet tooths are kept happy.
