Wrights Food Group currently employs 600 staff at its main manufacturing site in Crewe and retail shops across Staffordshire and Cheshire. The family run business produces a growing range of baked and unbaked products including pies, sausage rolls, pasties, ready meals, desserts, cakes and sandwiches

The company’s new hires include 50 additional factory production workers, a new Procurement manager, a new HR executive, 3 shift managers and 4 expert appointments to the food development team.

George Tatlow, who recently joined Wrights as a chef in the New Product Development team said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Wrights at such an exciting time for the company. My new role involves working in the development kitchens, creating innovative new food offerings for our customers and retail outlets. The seven of us work closely as a team, sharing ideas, perfecting recipes and hunting for new food trends. It’s great to be part of a team of industry experts, ensuring we are delivering original, quality food”.

The growth in staff reflects the company’s recent expansion and investment into its factories and site facilities. This includes a £1million expansion and refurb to the staff welfare centre, expanding the canteen area and installing new bathrooms and changing room space.

Speaking of the company’s growth, Peter Wright, CEO said: “Over the last 12 months we have experienced rising demand for our products and the reinvestment in the business enables us to enhance capacity as well as maintain the outstanding product quality we are known for.”
