vanish_tp_range_whitewear it pink, Breast Cancer Campaign’s biggest national fundraiser, is to be sponsored by Reckitt Benckiser’s world number one stain removal brand – Vanish.

Last year over a million people in businesses and schools took part in wear it pink by wearing something pink and donating £2 during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising a staggering £3 million.

Famous for its hot pink packaging, Vanish will be promoting wear it pink, which takes place on Friday 29 October, on a special range of five of its ‘pink’ products with a donation going to Campaign for each pack sold. The sponsorship is expected to raise £250,000 for the charity to help fund vital breast cancer research, ultimately helping the one in nine women who experience breast cancer during their lifetime.

More than that however, the partnership will play a major role in driving awareness of Breast Cancer Campaign as one of the leading UK breast cancer research charities, bringing its important messages to an even wider audience. The link will be promoted through a major package of high profile support in store and in Vanish’s heavyweight national TV advertising campaign during the autumn, with the special packs available in supermarkets and stores throughout the UK from September.

Liz Monks, Director of Fundraising, Breast Cancer Campaign said, “We are very excited to be working with Vanish, our first ever major sponsor for wear it pink. I’m sure that with the support of one of the world’s most famous brands we can encourage millions of people to take part in wear it pink.

She continued: “Around 12,000 women in the UK die from breast cancer every year and is the biggest health fear of women. The support by Vanish shows its affinity to an issue of huge concern to its customers and families.”

RB UK Marketing Director Stefan Gaa said, “This collaboration is such an exciting and natural link for Vanish – not just the links to pink and clothing on wear it pink day; but also the fact that our core customers are women 30-55, and a significant number of them, aged over 50, are among those most at risk of breast cancer. Breast Cancer Campaign supports over 100 different research projects at any one time, and our team is delighted to be working with the charity. We hope this is just the beginning of a very successful long term partnership.”
