FLORA ProActiv, the UK’s number one cholesterol reduction spread, is set to unveil a completely revamped range of products featuring a new formula and packaging redesign.

Rolling out now and in line with Upfield’s business ambitions, FLORA ProActiv is now 100% plant-based and fully vegan certified. The new great-tasting range will feature three classic versions of the cholesterol reducing spread, which can help millions of consumers better manage and lower their cholesterol levels.

  • FLORA ProActiv Light provides a lighter option for calorie conscious consumers
  • FLORA ProActiv Buttery is a more indulgent, buttery-tasting option
  • FLORA ProActiv Olive Oil has the added goodness and delicious taste of olive oil

Created using only simple, natural plant-based ingredients, all three variants feature increased plant sterols, which help reduce cholesterol blood levels. Each is also rich in vitamins D & E and has twice the amount of healthy oils – Omega 3 & 6 – in comparison to its nearest on-shelf competitor.

The new pack design modernises the brand and heroes the product’s natural cholesterol-lowering credentials. The heat seals effectively communicate each variant’s USP as well as explaining the change in recipe, now being 100% plant-based. Details explaining plant sterols and additional benefits of the new formula are called out on the side of the pack.

David Salkeld, General Manager at Upfield, states; “We’re committed to helping the UK create a better, more natural plant-based future and the relaunch of FLORA ProActiv is another step forward for us as a business.

“With over six in every 10 Brits being diagnosed with abnormal levels of cholesterol, the problem is more prevalent than ever before. We’ve reformulated our FLORA ProActiv recipe to be even better at helping consumers manage cholesterol, whilst also improving on our  great taste.”

FLORA ProActiv’s Light, Buttery and Olive Oil comes with a RRP (recommended retail price) of £3.90 for 500g, and £2.10 for 250.
