Global Closure Systems’ company, UCP is supplying Robert McBride Ltd., Europe’s leading provider of private label household and personal care products, with a new 38mm screw-on dosing closure for its Surcare brand of concentrated fabric conditioner.
McBride’s core business is private label but the company also has a growing portfolio of its own successful brands including the Surcare laundry range for sensitive skin. UCP’s speed from design to manufacture to meet the very tight deadline enabled McBride to move to a cost efficient lightweight container preform for a total pack improvement. The PP homopolymer closure, which features a 30ml dosing line inside the cap and narrow ribs around the skirt to aid grip, is being supplied in nine pearlescent and plain colours for McBride’s Surcare and a number of private label fabric conditioner ranges.
With a significant share of this market, UCP supplies the bulk of closures used by the U.K. contract fillers. The new dosing closure is available from the company’s extensive standard range for use within the household, garden and DIY markets, offering an excellent alternative when custom tooling cannot be justified.
