Users can personalise the LCD display, by activating switches inside the battery compartment selecting °C or °F, 0.1°C or 1°C and auto-power off or on.
The new Thermapen has a long battery life of 1,500 hours continuous use. The instrument will automatically turn on when the probe is opened, and off when the probe is folded back into the side of the unit or after 10 minutes. If the auto off feature is not required it can easily be disabled.
