Your investment journey in Canada starts with Immediate Core

Adande have produced their latest flyer extolling the very real differences between their unique refrigeration technology and ‘traditional’ refrigeration options…

2-drawer-matchbox-chefs_PT[4]Adande Refrigeration is a market leader in the design, development and manufacture of sustainable refrigeration products and technologies that offer real energy savings and lower operational costs. The company’s patented and award winning refrigerated drawer systems are specified throughout the foodservice and food retailing sectors. Adande is also pioneering ground-breaking technology for refrigerated display cabinets in the retail sector in the form of its Aircell system, so it’s credibility for solving real issues for the customer through research and development are clear, even if all the benefits are not immediately obvious.

Nigel Bell, Adande’s Chairman, said: “Adande champions real innovation, and it’s sometimes frustrating when we have been unable to communicate the multitude of benefits and real advantages to the customer. Adande units are unlike all other traditional refrigerated alternatives on the market and that difference is apparent in their performance. An analogy could be comparing Dyson to regular vacuum cleaners or hand-driers – they do the same job, only more effectively with unique technology.

To this end, we sought to make a quick glance comparison guide with bulleted points and visual references to aid the customer’s understanding of the differences. Real innovation offers great problem solving, but for our customers and their operations, it really is all about both the food quality and the operational efficiency, which is why so many top chef and QSR chains realise Adande as the preferred choice.”

Karl Hodgson agrees: “Adande has seen the under-counter fridge/freezer drawer business grow rapidly in the UK, and with other manufacturers revealing what appear to be similar product designs, it looks like this is very much what the market is demanding. The kitchen house dealers and designers, along with end user, really must understand there is a difference between each brand. There is the old saying ‘Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’, and from the outset Adande specialise and specifically deal in drawers; being the only manufacturer with unique ‘Hold the Cold’ technology, along with a strong commercially driven patent portfolio with much associated know how, so please don’t be fooled by something that looks similar. All our testing and that from independent test houses has shown that there are very significant differences in performance.”

Adande were buoyed by the factory visit in April from the Secretary of State, The Rt Hon Philip Hammond, together Conservative MP for Waveney, Peter Aldous, recognising the successes and challenges that exist to drive innovative patented products to market globally. Henceforth, the drawers have won major successes in 2015 – The first Asian Catering Awards at Hofex in Hong Kong, elevated the product from its category award to ‘Best of the Best’ award; Horecatel saw Adande Shallow Drawers take the Premier Prix Innovation, and now Host Fieramilano (the largest trade show in Europe) has remarkably awarded the Matchbox Hydrocarbon (pass through drawer system) a coveted Smartlabel for the second time.

On home ground too, industry is recognising its profile with Adande being a finalist in ‘Made in the UK’ Awards having won the Regional heat earlier this year.

Karl Hodgson continues: ‘We feel confident about our drawer product line and will be showcasing the range at Lockhart’s Catering Equipment Expo (16th September), and the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Universal Cookery and Food Festival (23rd September).

However, The Restaurant Show at Olympia (5-7th October) will not only see us exhibit once again (Stand GK41), but in line with previous years see the ‘UK’s finest’ compete in the National Chef of the Year and Young National Chef of the Year using Adande drawers in the cooking competition booths. We are so proud of our association with the Craft Guild and continue to provide membership too for the Guild upon purchase of our products. Our Adande drawers are as versatile and innovative as the unique Chefs using them, and that really is a good comparison too!”
