The UKs leading goats’ milk manufacturer, St Helen’s Farm, has launched its first spreadable goats’ cheese (125g) into Waitrose stores nationwide.
The development of the spreadable goats’ cheese is a collaboration with parent company, Kavli UK, home to brands including Primula cheese and Castle Maclellan pate.
The pot is a blend of St Helen’s Farm goats’ cheese and goats’ butter to give a smooth, creamy mild tasting goats’ cheese that is spreadable. Aimed at consumers who want a versatile, tasty option to enjoy with crusty bread or stirred into pasta.
The spread can also be used as a dip with crudités and snacks, giving goats’ cheese fans something completely new to enjoy in a variety of ways.
Sales & Marketing Manager of St Helen’s Farm, Mike Hind, said: “This is an exciting innovation for the farm which extends our current cheese range from mild, mature and Deli goats’ cheese.
The new format presents a number of new serving options for consumers and is a new entry point for those that prefer a spreadable option to a traditional goats’ cheese.
The pots are in store now and are merchandised alongside other goats’ cheese options at a special introductory price of £1.75 (RRP £2.19).
