Innovative UK-based food packaging company Sirane is exhibiting at this year’s International Food and Drink Event (IFE( at the ExCel Arena, London.
Jeremy Haydn-Davies, sales director for food packaging, said: “We’ll be taking our full product range, from absorbent meat pads to innovative cooking bags, shelf-life extending bags to susceptors, to launch them into the Gulf markets.
“We’ve some new innovations on show, including the ‘bubble pad’ for soft-fruit – a new absorbent pad which offers cushioning and absorbency, giving maximum protection.
“The Dri-Fresh™ Soft-Hold™ pad was very well received at Fruit Logistica earlier this month.
“We’ll also be showing our range of ovenable and microwaveable cooking bag solutions, non-stick roasting bags as well as many other great food packaging solutions.”

One innovation last year – an odour absorbent pad for vac-packed meat – led to a 9% drop in returns at one UK supermarket, while a cooking bag used by Asda for its Chicken With Tikka Spiced Butter won the innovation prize at the Supermarket & Fish Awards.
