range-shot-3-smallThe brand awareness campaign for Swiss confectioner Ricola has got off to a golden start this summer. Not only have hundreds of thousands of samples already been distributed at events across the country, but the garden that the Swiss confectioner sponsored at the BBC Gardeners’ World Live exhibition has also just been awarded a top medal.

Ricola’s Herb Garden of Natural Goodness, which was designed by talented young gardener Chris Myers, was inspired by Ricola’s own Alpine herb gardens and included the thirteen herbs that give the sweets their distinctive great taste and soothing properties.

The Royal Horticultural Society judges were impressed enough to award the garden a prestigious Gold medal, while gardening celebrities, including Toby Buckland, and the 100,000 plus visitors have also been captivated by the charming display.

chris-myersAndy Richman, UK & Ireland country manager for Ricola, comments: “The garden was a great platform from which to showcase Ricola and with a sampling team on hand throughout the show, we found the public were as interested to ‘taste’ the garden, as to look at it. We’ve enjoyed a fantastic response on both fronts and the gold medal was the ‘icing on the cake’.”

The sampling and PR campaign now continues into the summer with high profile sampling events, a sustained editorial push and promotions in women’s titles.
