A team from North West PR agency MTJ Associates has climbed Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak, to raise more than £1,700 for charity.

Snowdon summit[2]

The fund-raisers took on the 3,560ft peak to raise money for the Jamaica Basic Schools Foundation. The foundation provides funding to improve the quality of pre-school education and learning environments for disadvantaged three to six-year-old children in Jamaica.

The team of seven (plus one dog), climbed and descended the peak in around seven hours despite wet and misty conditions.

Martin Jackson, Director of MTJ Associates, said: “The Jamaica Basic Schools Foundation does invaluable work and we were delighted to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause.

“The Snowdon climb was incredibly challenging – it was the best of times and the worst of times! – but the team really pulled together to make it to the top and we’re very proud of our achievement.

“We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our sponsors and supporters, and we hope the funds raised will make a real difference to disadvantaged children in Jamaica.”
