login-pos.jpgThe POS Store has been commissioned by leading manufacturer PPG Architectural Coatings EMEA, whose extensive product portfolio includes Johnstone’s and Leyland paint brands, to provide an innovative new web-based system that will allow customers to create bespoke promotional and point of sale material. PPG has adopted the POS Store concept with a period of exclusivity within the paint market, in order to add value to its customers and provide them with a professional easy to use point of sale print system.

The PPG POS Store allows specific products to be selected and provides the user with the ability to update pricing and headline information as desired. Once the bespoke POS material has been created, stockists can send the designs directly to their own printer or forward them to their chosen supplier.

POS Store is the brainchild of design agency The Foundry. It has been developed to enable brand owners, such as PPG, and their customers across the UK, to create their own tailored messages on professionally executed, point of sale material.

POS Store uses industry standard QuarkXPress artwork, which integrates with all popular design software, enabling companies’ design and advertising agencies to interact with the system. The system has been designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible for users.

Alice Oliver, Stockist Market Manager at PPG, comments: “We are always looking for new ways to improve the service we provide to our customers and changing the way that POS material is created and distributed is a key innovation. The POS Store is the ideal solution for independent stockists selling our products. It is easy for customers to use and also ensures that we maintain a level of control over the style and quality of supporting point of sale and the way in which our brands are represented. The concept also reduces our requirement to hold such a vast range of point of sale material consequently minimising stock levels. Reducing waste generated by surplus material contributes to reducing our impact on the environment, but ensures we maintain control over the style, quality and PPG brand.”

POS Store can be tailored to a company’s specific requirements or people can purchase an ‘off the shelf’ solution. People interested in finding out more should contact Kevin Murphy on 0161 926 8444 or visit www.theposstore.co.uk

POS Store was established by design agency The Foundry. POS Store has been developed as a direct result of feedback from many brand owners and independent retailers requiring a solution to what they call a ‘major headache’.
