Payzone UK this week celebrated the opening of its newly refurbished offices with a ceremony attended by Northwich town Mayor Clr Alison Gerrard, Payzone staff and local leading business figures.
The ceremony was particularly poignant in signifying the turnaround of the business, initiated by the appointment of Managing Director Gary Jennison in May this year. Following a period of focused restructuring and signification investment, Payzone is now aiming to recruit up to 20 new sales people by the New Year.
The office refurbishment is the most recent step by Gary Jennison to move the business forward by creating a more open and enjoyable work environment and provide the necessary space for the company’s growth. Jennison is aspiring for Payzone to appear in the Sunday Times 100 Best companies to work for by 2013 by focusing on staff wellbeing and business development.
Ray Luckraft, owner of Rays, the closest store to the Payzone offices with a Payzone terminal, also attended the ceremony and commented, “Payzone provides lots of essential services for many community members so the terminal is really beneficial to the store, attracting lots of customers who want convenience. Being so close to the Payzone offices I have a great relationship with the team, it’s good to see how much the business has developed recently and the building looks fantastic.”
Payzone’s bright future and renewed business focus is already set to benefit its customers with new services being introduced, such as the Health Lottery which is now available nationally. Payzone is now also concentrating on producing enhanced general card acceptance terminals with advanced technology, for example NFC capability for contactless payments, to allow merchants to offer the most up to date payment options to their customers. Payzone will also be increasing its “street” presence with more team members than ever touching base with retailers in their own stores to ensure customer service is continually built upon and Payzone products continue to benefit its retailers.
