Working in conjunction with automation and robotic systems specialists Quasar Automation, who will project manage the contact, and Ilapak who will supply the flow-wrap technology, PiP will supply an Alpha Two Tray Denester and a Streamfeeder Pro-series Flowfold U card feeder and folder.

Commenting on the excellent start to the exhibition PiP managing director Duncan Macintyre said, “We’re delighted to partner with these leading suppliers to the food packing and processing industries. It just goes to show that while lead times on exhibitions can sometimes be longer, there are still plenty of opportunities for the taking.”

Bob Hinchcliffe of Quasar added, “We’re pleased to confirm our partnership with Partners in Packaging on this exciting new installation, which will see us integrate 4 Staubli TP80 high speed picking robots into a packaging line. As first time exhibitors, we couldn’t have asked for more out of the show. We’ve been looking for the right supplier to partner with on this new installation, and are delighted that Partners in Packaging can offer the equipment and expertise we need to equip our clients with the very best packaging line.”

“This deal is evidence of the quality of visitors at the show this year and proves that there are excellent opportunities out on the floor.” observed Tony McDonald of Ilapak.

Spokesman for PPMA, co-owners of TOTAL, David Harrison remarked, “It is always good to get off to such a positive start and demonstrates the event does attract a very high quality audience. Also it is good to see exhibitors with different expertise coming together to offer solutions in this way.”

The Alpha Tray Denester comes in 1, 2 or 3 magazine versions. It is constructed as standard in stainless steel for complete wash-down capability and is offered with either servo motor or pneumatic drive options. The product magazines are fully adjustable and the machine can accommodate a wide variety of pick heads to suit different products and industries.

Streamfeeder is recognised as one of the world’s leading friction feed manufacturers with over 1,500 machines installed in the UK, in particular in most of the leading plant bakeries.
