UK and Asia based speciality-packaging supplier, Parkside, celebrated its 10-year anniversary in April. Specialising in flexo, lamination and laser technology, as well as packaging security solutions, Parkside has grown the business in the past decade by diversifying into a range of speciality packaging applications.
Nick Smith, Managing Director, commented: “All of our employees have received a commemorative gift to thank them for their continuing efforts to drive the business forward and, to coincide with this moment in our history, we’ve begun to rebrand the company simply as Parkside. We are in the process of launching a new corporate identity to reflect our multiple capabilities, which combine to deliver innovative packaging and print solutions for our customers.
“The company has grown significantly since 2005 and with the backing of our key investors, we are now a global player across a number of FMCG categories and are really excited about the opportunities that lie in front of us.”
Developed under their APEX (Advanced Packaging Expertise) strategy, the company has recently invested in new reclosable, easy open and compostable packaging solutions, as well as anti-counterfeit and promotional technologies for a range of pack categories.

We’ve focussed on delivering value and innovation to our partner packaging converters, as well as brands and retailers, and as a result we’ve built a business that has the ability to meet a range of consumer needs.
“Simple examples would include our reclose technology being used in new packaging for the confectionary sector and our LIDD® solution in the UK ready meal sector. In reality, we don’t always supply a complete pack but work with a breadth of packaging converters to enhance their pack designs.”
