Building on their continued success as a market leader since the 2011 agreed takeover by long-standing barbecue suppliers TPA Metals and Machinery (SZ) Ltd, the newly-located Outback International UK Limited plans to increase market share supported by its China-based partners.

“After an in-depth review of our future expansion in the UK barbecue market, in which we have been leading suppliers with the Outback brands for more than 30 years, we decided the time was right to have our own 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse – with additional space for future development – at the established Rotherwas Business Park, Hereford.

“Our new base will provide full facilities to support trade customer services, space to hold stocks of the full Outback range of spare and warranty barbecue parts to meet seasonal demand, and room for future expansion”, said Outback chief executive Mark Osborne.

“In addition, TPA’s new consolidated manufacturing base at the major industrial hub at Dongguan provides an up-to-date link with our logistics and distribution partners at Unipart Leisure & Marine”, he said. Destined to make an immediate appeal to alfresco enthusiasts in 2014 is Outback’s newly designed V5 gas barbecue, offering a choice of grill, griddle, a frying plate and a pan stand. Weighing only 17kg in its own canvas bag, the V5 will appeal to the barbecue host planning a garden or patio party, as well as to camping, caravan and motorhome enthusiasts, who make an estimated 20 million leisure trips a year.

A major factor in Outback’s success is providing a wide range of products to meet a varied and changing consumer demand, illustrated this year with the development of the new Meteor Select Stainless Steel 6 Burner gas barbecue.

As good as it gets, this top model has 6 cast iron burners with individual controls and a stainless steel roasting hood, an ultra-fast side sear burner, Piezo ignition, porcelain-coated grill and griddles, lava rock for added smokey meat flavour, and built-in storage cabinets.

For the multi-menu enthusiast demanding the best of both worlds, Outback has developed the newly-designed Combi Select Charcoal/Gas 4 Burner barbecue – a chef’s dream with a choice of two roasting hoods, four cast-iron gas grills, a charcoal grill, a griddle, two warming racks, lava rock, side tables and storage cabinet.

Finally, with the caterer, publican or event-organiser in mind, there’s the new Outback Party 6 Burner Gas barbecue.
