Doves Farm, the organic and Fairtrade specialists, have extended their premium product range to include three new delicious organic treats.
Walking down the biscuit aisle in a supermarket can be uninspiring for a foodie, with most offering budget ingredients mixed with additives and flavourings. As the importance of the quality of the food we eat becomes more important to shoppers, the launch of a product range which boasts ethical indulgence couldn’t be more timely.
Adding two new chocolately varieties to their well established organic biscuits range, Doves Farm have launched themselves into the luxury biscuit market.
Chocolate Chip & Quinoa Biscuits are delicate, lacy-edged and dunkable, delivering a satisfying hit of intense chocolate to be enjoyed at home or in the office. Cocoa & Quinoa Sandwich Biscuits will add a richness and luxury to any coffee or teatime treat with a creamy cocoa filling sandwiched between two light, sweet biscuits.
Both biscuit varieties contain the popular superfood Quinoa. It is a heritage grain which contains all 9 essential amino acids, is a good source of fibre and is high in protein. However, it is the combination of Fairtrade sugar, cocoa, quinoa and honey together with the lack of any artificial additives or preservatives that makes these biscuits truly special.
The Doves Farm biscuit range, which includes classic digestive biscuits that have been baked to the same recipe for nearly 30 years, is award winning! Products in the range have received gold stars in the Great Taste Awards and been awarded winner of sweet treat categories in the Quality Food & Drink Awards in 2011 and 2012. It is hoped these new varieties will become firm favourites amongst their ethical customer base, for many years to come.

On the Go Goodness
Figgy Flapjacks are a new fruity snack bar, packed with fig pieces and wholegrain oats. They join an existing popular snack bars range of three cereal bars (comprising Banana, Mango & Brazil, Sultana, Apricot & Apple and Crispy Chocolate & Rice) and two flapjacks (which include traditional Butter and Apple & Sultana). This variety will add something exciting and entirely new to the snack bars market, offering an ethical, indulgent option to eating on the move.
Clare Marriage explains further, “One of the richest fibre plant sources, figs also contain antioxidants and many essential vitamins and minerals. I had been wanting to extend our popular flapjack range for some time and couldn’t think of anything nicer than luscious soft figgy pieces to compliment the wholegrain oatiness of our bars perfectly.”
As with the rest of the range, Figgy Flapjacks are made in a dedicated organic bakery in Wiltshire, using the finest quality organically grown and Fairtrade ingredients; the palm oil used in Doves Farm products is sourced from sustainable organic farms in Columbia, which does not harm the habitat of orang-utans. Further, with no additional colourings, artificial flavourings, hydrogenated fat or preservatives, the 40g bar is perfect for tucking into a backpack or handbag for a delicious and guilt-free on-the-go treat!

The newest additions to the Doves Farm range are now available from many regional wholesalers and will soon be hitting the shelves of independent retail stores nationwide. Figgy Flapjacks are available in display cases of 16 bars, which are perfect for inpulse buys, or in a family box of five for packing into lunchboxes. Cocoa & Quinoa Sandwich Biscuits and Chocolate Chip & Quinoa Biscuits come in case quantities of 12, with packs weighing 150g and 225g respectively.
