family-favourites.jpgM & I Marketing, the Glasgow based distributor of sweets and confectionery, is leading the market by investing in new style packaging and branding for its highly successful range of 39p sweet bags. The eye-catching bags, featuring a new Sports Bear character, were designed by Bradford-based film packaging specialists National Flexible. The re-design was managed by National Flexible’s head of design – Phil Parkinson, who oversaw the project from initial concept right through to the finished print.

“National Flexible have really impressed me with the quality and creativity of their graphic design capabilities,” said M & I Marketing’s Managing Director, Mohammed Iqbal. “Normally I would have had to pay a design agency thousands of pounds for the equivalent of what they have done for me,” he continued.

The sweet bags are proving to be popular with discerning customers who are looking for extra value in their confectionery, as they are the first 39p bag to contain no artificial colourings or flavourings of any kind.

The sweet bags are available from an expanding number of convenience stores and retail outlets and at their current levels of growth they are aiming to be a national brand by 2012.
