Daniels Group subsidiary Farmhouse Fare is targeting the single serve pudding occasion by launching its popular lovetub dessert in a 100g format.

The launch will complement the lovetub 300g, a range of indulgent microwavable hot puddings which launched last year with the aim of re-introducing 25 to 34-year-old women to hot puddings.

“lovetub has moved desserts away from the dining table, successfully reintroducing female consumers who enjoy traditional puddings but felt that the previous offerings were not suited to them or their lifestyle,” says Daniels Group Marketing Director Nigel Parrott. “We’re certain that this new smaller format will drive further growth in the category.

“The single-serve lovetub will appeal to women who have a sweet tooth that their partner doesn’t share, those who live alone, or simply those looking for a treat that they don’t have to share with anyone!”

lovetub 100g can be microwaved in just 30 seconds and eaten straight from the tub, appealing to busy consumers seeking a quick, easy-to-prepare indulgence.

It is available in Sticky Toffee Pudding and Chocolate Pudding flavours. Packed in outers of 8, it has an RRP of £1.29. It makes its debut in Sainsbury’s in mid September, where it will launch at an introductory price of 99p, and will also be available in Co-op.
