Going teetotal has never been a more popular lifestyle choice, says Andrew Turner, Director of Wine for Halewood Wines & Spirits.

“Some 21 per cent of people in the UK are choosing not to drink at all and one in four drinkers and saying they’d like to change their habits.

“This means consumers are increasingly on the lookout for quality alcohol free options that don’t compromise on taste. So taking the time to stock up on a good selection of low and no alcohol drinks really is a no brainer.

“People who are cutting down, whether it’s because of a diet, health reasons or simply not drinking tonight, certainly don’t want to feel alienated from special occasions and restricted by the choices available to them. “We’ve addressed this problem by producing a distinctly grown up alcohol free alternative to fizz with our Eisberg Sparkling Blanc and Sparkling Rosé varieties.

“They allow drinkers to pop a cork, essential when it comes to offering a celebratory feel, and are made in precisely the same way as all high quality sparkling wines, retaining their vibrant, fruity flavours, even after the alcohol has been removed.”

The latest moving annual total (MAT) shows that the alcohol free wine category has increased by £1.7 million, rising to 54.7 per cent value (Nielsen 52 weeks to 20/05/2017). Eisberg is triumphantly leading the way, with 60 per cent of the market share (Nielsen 52 weeks to 20/05/2017).
