Lefktro launched their new Black Dog Delicatessen Range at the IFE 2013. The range takes a selection of the products Lefktro source and supply from across the world, and rebrands them under the new Black Dog label. The distinctive deli range is competitively priced and ideal for retailers and has already enjoyed extremely positive feedback from the likes of the Fine Food Digest, home of the Great Taste Awards.
The carefully chosen products in the range are designed to offer retailers something new. The Black Dog brand will initially include three Extra Virgin Olive oils from Crete, Spain and Sicily, a Balsamic vinegar from Modena, a range of delicious marinated olives, three flavoured Italian risotto mixes and five varieties of authentic Italian dried pasta.
Because Lefktro is using their existing suppliers this new brand is able to offer exceptionally high quality products, some already endorsed with Great Taste Awards, rebranded to appeal to UK consumers. The Black Dog Delicatessen Range is designed to have distinctive shelf presence and is priced to give customers a premium brand experience at a mid-range supermarket price point.
The fresh olive range includes Mixed Olives with garlic, chilli and basil, Pitted Green Olives with thyme, basil, parsley and chilli, Pitted Green Olives with garlic and basil, Pitted Kalamata Olives with thyme, basil, parsley and chives and Pitted Green Olives with dukkah spice and orange.There are flavoured risotto mixes available in Porcini Mushroom, Asparagus or Tomato with an authentic Italian flavour. The dried pasta selection includes less well-known varieties including Vermicellioni, Orzo and Black Squid Ink Spaghetti.

The ‘Black Dog’ name came from the much loved company pets, black Labradors Blue and Bailey.
