America’s oldest cleaning brand, Bar Keepers Friend® (‘BKF’), is due to impact the UK’s niche cleaning market with a new distribution agreement, new design and two new products that will broaden its appeal and usage occasions.
Indianapolis based brand owner, SerVaas Laboratories Inc, has appointed Kilrock Products Ltd as the new licensed manufacturer and distributor for Bar Keepers Friend in the UK, with immediate effect. BKF compliments Kilrock’s existing range of specialist cleaning and household products and fits neatly within Kilrock’s expanding portfolio.
First launched in 1882, the BKF range is being enhanced, improved and extended, and aims to fully capitalise on its claim of “Once Tried Always Used.” The existing and original Bar Keepers Friend Stain Remover Powder (250g, RSP: £2.79) will be complimented by two products that have just been successfully launched in the US:
Bar Keepers Friend Power Cream – a superior cream formulation that “cleans where others fail”. Formulated for Cookware, Kitchens and Bathrooms (350ml, RSP: £2.99)
Bar Keepers Friend Power Spray – this easy-to-use format delivers BKF cleaning power for use in everyday cleaning situations, from kitchen & bathroom to stainless steel and glass. (500ml RSP: £2.99)
Both products were launched in America earlier this year and have added significantly to sales volume without affecting sales of the original powder product. In addition to household applications, BKF powder is well known for delivering amazing results across a multitude of cleaning situations, such as car wheels, bikes, golf clubs, tools and many more.
The new range will also benefit from a new design to give the brand a modern, fresh feel whilst maintaining BKF’s long-established heritage. All products will carry a new silver and blue logo to emphasise the premium, specialist positioning of the product and provide strong shelf-stand out.
