KETTLE® is pleased to announce that it is extending its successful Bites range to capitalise on the post- Christmas diet season, targeting health-conscious consumers looking for lighter snacking options without compromising on taste.
Launched at the beginning of 2016, KETTLE® Bites are baked wholegrain and lentil snacks that are full on flavour but have less than 100 calories per bag. Now joining the range are Sea Salt & Mixed Peppercorns Wholegrain Waves in a handy-pack, and Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar Wholegrain Waves in a multipack format.
In the UK we know that a broader savoury snacks category is emerging, where health is the No.1 enabler of increased consumption and 60% of shoppers could be encouraged to buy more snacks if lower calorie options are available to them. With 50% less fat than standard crisps, KETTLE® Bites are ideal to target solus, everyday snacking occasions when consumers are looking for a lighter eat. KETTLE® Bites is successfully attracting new shoppers and the brand is already worth over £4m at RSV. Consumers are really enjoying the great taste combined with the lighter texture, demonstrated by the strong repeat purchase rates that are ahead of benchmarks for successful new product launches.
Andrew Slamin, Kettle Foods Marketing Director said “We encourage retailers to stock the new KETTLE® Bites products and capitalise on the trend towards healthier snacking particularly after the excesses of the festive season. The additions of the iconic KETTLE® favourite of Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar and the tasty new Sea Salt & Mixed Peppercorns mean that the KETTLE® Bites range of snacks has a seasoning to appeal to everyone”
KETTLE® never adds any artificial flavours, colours or MSG to their products, which some other crisp manufacturers use to make flavourings. As with all KETTLE® products, KETTLE® Bites are made with real food which is highlighted through the key seasoning ingredients on the front of pack, as well as the calorie and fat messaging.
] KETTLE® Bites come in multipacks (x5 22g), at an RRP of £1.89, and 22g handy packs, RRP 70p. The new additions to the range are available from January 2017.
