Market-leading Kepak Convenience Foods is unveiling major brand support plans for 2012 in a bid to drive consumer awareness and demand for Rustlers and ZUGO’s Deli Café to highest ever levels.

The year-long package of support begins with a renewal of Rustlers partnership with MTV UK to support the second series of the network’s smash-hit programming franchise, Geordie Shore.

The non-scripted series, which 100% authentically records the lives of eight young Geordies who live, love and party in the heart of Newcastle, was a spectacular success when it hit screens in May 2011, attracting MTV’s highest-ever viewing audience, extensive national media coverage, over 285,000 Facebook ‘Likes’ and up to170K Twitter followers per cast member.

Series 2 of the highly anticipated series, which will kick-off with two new cast members, even more hook-ups, fall-outs and more nights on Newcastle’s party-haunt Diamond Strip, is on MTV now.

This year’s partnership, which runs until late March 2012, will enable Kepak to engage the fast-growing Rustlers online community.

Consumers will be offered the chance to win a signed photo of Geordie Shore cast members and an Iphone 4s on Rustlers Facebook page. In addition, everyone who enters the competition will receive a BOGOF voucher.

The competition will be advertised on the Rustlers website http://www.rustlersonline.com which will also link to MTV’s Geordie Shore Facebook page for the duration of the series.

The Geordie Shore partnership marks the start of sustained brand support for Rustlers and ZUGO’s Del Café this year. The heavyweight marketing programme will include major TV investment, extensive digital media support, themed on pack activity, tactical sampling and consumer press promotions.
