In recognition of the increasing consumer desire for convenience and growth in food eaten on the go Heinz has developed a new range of chilled savoury pastries based on the instantly recognisable flavours of Heinz Beanz, Heinz Tomato Ketchup, and HP Brown sauce.

The new range of slices is a convenient way of doing this and gives consumers the opportunity to enjoy their favourite Heinz Beanz out of home. We believe the introduction of these products along with the vast consumer equity of the Heinz brand will help stimulate category growth by bringing in new consumers to the category. We are confident that these convenient products will have wide market appeal.

The new range of 160g Heinz Beanz slices will be available in four great flavours, classic Heinz Beanz, Heinz Beanz with Cheddar Cheese, Heinz Beanz with Spicy Meatballs and Heinz Beanz with Smoky Sausage. With a recommended retail selling price of £1.50 the range offers good value for money. Heinz recognises that consumers’ lifestyles are becoming increasingly busier with less time to enjoy the foods they love. The range of Beanz Slices can be enjoyed either hot or cold or as a snack or a meal any time of the day.

To complement the Heinz Beanz range, Heinz is also introducing a range of sauce-topped pork sausage rolls for the ultimate convenience.  The range of 130g rolls topped with Heinz Tomato Ketchup, HP Brown Sauce, and Heinz Ploughman’s Pickle is perfect for on the go snacking. Also available will be 4 x 60g multi pack rolls topped with Heinz Tomato Ketchup and HP Brown Sauce which are perfect for picnics, parties or lunchboxes. The recommended retail selling price is £1.00 for the 130g sausage roll and £1.50 for 4 x 60g multi pack.

Heinz has teamed up with Peter’s Foodservice Ltd., bakers of innovative pastry products for over fifty years, to manufacture, market, and sell these products under license to bring these market leading brands directly to the hands of consumers.  The April 2013 launch will be supported by an integrated PR and marketing campaign.
