GroceryAid has made another key appointment to its team and is pleased to reveal that Helen Kershaw will take up the role of Marketing Communications Manager. Helen will play a crucial role in the implementation of GroceryAid’s awareness strategy as the charity aims to extend its reach to those needing assistance while meeting increased fundraising demands.

Kershaw is returning to the not-for-profit sector, an industry where she started her career at the Meat & Livestock Commission. Since then Kershaw has fulfilled a number of marketing and communications roles, with extensive experience in the grocery industry having spent time with French cheese company, Bongrain, the low calorie sweetener, Canderel as well as Fox’s Biscuits where she was Marketing Manager for Assortments & Collections. Her most recent role as Head of Marketing was at Guardsman Industries UK, where she transformed the company into a consumer focused business while launching a range of new product and service initiatives.

Speaking on the appointment Steve Barnes, GroceryAid Chief Executive said, ‘We are delighted to have Helen on-board. As our industry changes fast, the need to communicate with those in need of support is more crucial than ever. The appointment of Helen is a key one for GroceryAid as we step change awareness throughout the industry.”

Helen added, “I am thrilled to join the team at GroceryAid and look forward to combining my passion for the grocery industry with such a worthwhile cause.”
